Abstract
Problem: these days every single person is known with a computer. We can find computers at everywhere around us. In fact modern world will be incomplete without computers and their applications. Since computers are now considered as parts of or live, there are people who make the use of computers illegally. Some of their activities include bullying, cyber stalking, and harassment by computers etc, which is regarded as cyber crime. Even in our society, we can see this illegal activity very often in which immediate action should be taken.
Objectives: our main objective of this study was to identify why cyber crime has started, when it started, what are the things that we can do to stop this crime. Also to identify how much our society is aware of this crime was also one of our objectives.
Methodology: in order to achieve our objects, we had interviews taken from different members in college. And from the interviews that were taken, we studied how much knowledge they had based on this crime.
Achievements: we were able to find that members are unaware of these crimes. The studies we had showed that they do not give much consideration to different computer based softwares. Most of the members had some knowledge about some of the cyber crimes; however they do not feel important to keep their personal information as well as saved data’s under controlled security.
